Possibly the most photographed tree on the Sunshine Coast, backed by incredible panoramic views of the Glass House Mountains.

This moderately trafficked location is found on the side of Mountain View Road, approximately 3.3 kms from Landsborough Maleny Road.

The lookout has no amenities or car park, so can be a little tricky to stop at during busier times, such as on weekends and sunset. In the interest of safety, ensure you park well off the road.

There is limited space on the roadside, but enough to pause and enjoy the view. And what a view it is, with a sole tree perched among the farmland, backed by magnificent panoramic views of the Glass House Mountains.

From the location, views of Mount Beerwah, Mount Tibrogargan and Mount Coonowrin are prominent, as well as views of Mount Ngungun, Mount Beerburrum, Mount Tibberoowuccum, the Tunbubudla Twins, and Mount Coochin.

It is important to note that the tree itself is located on private property, so respect the landowners and under no circumstances should you cross the fence and enter the property.

Be sure to take all rubbish with you when you leave.

Track: There is no track – simply park on the side of the road and enjoy the views from the grassy roadside.

Difficulty: While it can be a little difficult to find a park if there are others also at the location (given the lack of a car park), it is an otherwise very accessible lookout, suitable for all fitness levels. Wheelchair access would be difficult, given the grassy roadside, however the views can be enjoyed from the comfort of the car.

Direction: This is an out-and-back walk that returns the way it came.
