Goomoolahra Falls Lookout

A short walk to the top of Goomoolahra Falls, with breathtaking views into the Springbrook valley.
The moderately trafficked short walk starts from the car park of the Goomoolahra picnic area on Springbrook Road.
The paved track runs between the cascades and a series of lovely covered picnic tables to a constructed lookout.
The lookout offers uninterrupted views across the Springbrook valley, Gold Coast skyline and Springbrook Pinnacle, as well as a great perspective of the top of Goomoolahra Falls (you can even see where the Warrie Circuit passes the base of the falls when looking down).
Either return via the paved path or walk back through the forest to the other end of the car park.
Track: The path is paved and easy to follow. There are railings at the lookout and no steps, meaning the walk is wheelchair accessible if returning via the paved path.
Difficulty: The track is suitable for all fitness levels.
Direction: This can be completed as either an out-and-back track via the paved path, or a loop track, returning through the forest.
getting there
The walk is located at the end of Springbrook Road in Springbrook, 1.5 hours drive south of Brisbane.
There is clear signage highlighting the start of the walk from the carpark.
Parking is typically ample for how trafficked the walk is.
best time to go
The walk can be completed year-round.
